DNIT Begins Sending Mass Notifications to Taxpayers

The National Tax Revenue Directorate (DNIT), through the General Directorate of Tax Enforcement, will begin sending mass notifications to taxpayers as part of the Tax Risk Matrix Compliance Improvement Plan, using Big Data technology to detect inconsistencies in VAT and income tax returns.

There will be two types of notifications: informational and summons, with a within ten business days so that taxpayers can amend their tax returns or make payments.

The goal is promote the tax compliance, preventing violations, and ensuring transparency of commercial transactions. Taxpayers who have been notified may submit inquiries using the contact information provided in the notifications.
