MERSAN, a long-established law firm in Paraguay specializing in intellectual property, tax law, antitrust law, and business consulting, announced the addition of Sebastián Pérez Caballero as a new partner.
The goal of his administration, he said, The initial phase will involve developing four main lines of work: accounting and BPO services, tax, auditing, and consulting, supported by interdisciplinary teams that include not only accountants but also other professionals such as systems engineers, economists, and humanities scholars.
“Looking ahead, we are working on opening new offices. Paraguay has established itself as one of the most stable countries in the region with sustained growth, and our goal is to support that process, growing alongside the country and strengthening MERSAN’s presence within that context of development,” he revealed in an interview with Coffee and Business Pérez Caballero.
Throughout his career, the Uruguayan worked at a regional professional services firm, where he started as an assistant in the outsourcing department and eventually became a partner. In this field, he worked for three years in Uruguay and twelve in Paraguay, a career path that allowed him to gain insight into the organization from its most operational levels all the way up to strategic decision-making, covering every stage in between.
“With more than 20 years of experience in accounting, tax, and business consulting, Sebastián has a solid track record spanning various sectors, including finance, agribusiness, real estate, and services,” Mersan said.
At the same time, in the business community, he served as president of the Paraguayan-Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce, based in Asunción. He currently remains involved with the institution as a director and past president.
