The Executive Branch enacted the Law 7593\/2025<\/strong> which establishes a legal framework for the use of personal data, strengthening the right to privacy enshrined in the National Constitution.<\/p>

The law prohibits public or private companies and institutions from processing data without a legal basis, provides enhanced protection for children and adolescents, and guarantees rights such as access, rectification, objection, erasure, portability, and withdrawal of consent<\/strong> for free.<\/p>

In addition, the <\/span>National Agency for the Protection of Personal Data<\/span><\/strong>, with the operational autonomy to monitor compliance, address inquiries, and issue guidelines.<\/span><\/p>

The provisions regarding the disclosure of public information by public officials\u2014such as compensation and financial disclosures\u2014remain in effect without any changes.<\/span><\/p>
