MERSAN, a long-standing legal services firm in Paraguay specializing in intellectual property, tax law, competition law, and corporate advisory services, announced the appointment of Sebasti\u00e1n P\u00e9rez Caballero as a new partner.<\/p>

The objective of his role, the firm stated, will be to develop four main practice areas in the initial stage<\/strong>: accounting and BPO services, tax, audit, and consulting, supported by interdisciplinary teams that include not only accountants but also professionals such as systems engineers, economists, and specialists in the social sciences.<\/p>

\u201cLooking ahead, we are working on opening new offices. Paraguay has established itself as one of the countries with the greatest stability and sustained growth in the region, and our goal is to accompany that process, growing alongside the country and strengthening MERSAN\u2019s presence within this context of development,\u201d P\u00e9rez Caballero said in an interview with Caf\u00e9 y Negocios<\/em>.<\/p>

Throughout his career, the Uruguayan professional worked at a regional professional services firm, where he began as an assistant in the outsourcing area and eventually became a partner.<\/strong> In this role, he spent three years in Uruguay and twelve in Paraguay, a path that allowed him to understand the organization from its most operational levels to strategic decision-making positions, passing through all intermediate stages.<\/p>

\u201cWith more than 20 years of experience in accounting, tax, and corporate advisory services, Sebasti\u00e1n has a solid track record across multiple industries, including finance, agribusiness, real estate, and services,\u201d MERSAN stated.<\/p>

In parallel, within the business community, he served as President of the Paraguayan\u2013Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce based in Asunci\u00f3n.
